Ghanaian broadcaster, feminist, and author- Gifty Anti shares throwback photos of her husband Nana Ansah Kwao IV, the paramount chief of Akwamu Adumasa as she celebrates his tenth anniversary
She took to her Instagram page, to shares these old pictures of when her husband was enstooled as the chief.
He also narrated how it all started for her husband;
Ten years ago today. On 24th January 2011, my husband, Nana Ansah Kwao IV was enstooled as the chief of Akwamu Adumasa.
I didn’t know him then though. But God knew about the future connection ?
After a week of confinement, where he was schooled on the task ahead, as custom demands, he was carried shoulder high for everyone to see him.
Traditionally, it was also the last opportunity for his friends and family to relate to him as a private person.
10 years ago not many had heard of this Town called Adumasa.
Today, the story is quite different.
The Little Republic of Akwamu Adumasa is known across the world ?.
He’s not been perfect, but I believe he has served his people well.
The celebrations have been pushed to Easter though.
However, please help me celebrate him and wish him well for the next 50 years!!!
