How do you save Instagram photos? Do you still use the traditional screenshot and crop method? The pain involved though. Here’s how to easily save Instagram photos directly onto your computer or mobile.
On Computer
Locate and open the image you want to save. Right click on the image, then select ‘view page source’.
You should be directed to a page similar to figure 0.2 below.
Hit Ctrl+F on your keyboard to open a “search in page” box, enter ‘jpg’ into the box and hit ‘Enter’. Doing so will highlight all ‘jpg’ texts on the page. The first ‘jpg’ text is what we are after. As demonstrated in figure 0.3, copy the link, beginning from ‘https’ and ending at ‘jpg’.
In my case I copied “https://igcdn-photos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfa1/t51.2885-15/e35/11325065_849443578472340_206821641_n.jpg”
This URL is a direct link to the image file. Paste the copied URL into the address bar and hit ‘Enter’. There you go!!! A full size image in it best quality. Right click on the image while choosing ‘Save image as’, then save your image to a desired location.
On Mobile
Today, we allow mobile apps to do all the work while we sit back and watch. How come you even never thought there could be an app that allows you save Instagram photos to your phone.
Android users will need to install [InstaSave from Google play store]. InstaSave allows you to download Instagram photos to your device memory, and view it at whatever time you want.
IOS users should get [InstaSaver from the app store]. InstaSaver does a very good job in saving photos in high quality. It allows you to easily save or repost from your news feed.
