After a successful breakout performance in the cursed ones, Africa Movie Academy awards nominee Joseph Otsiman is yet to be experienced again in the new highly acclaimed movie ‘KETEKE’ directed by the FESPACO winning director Peter Sebgefia.
Speaking to Joseph who recently got selected as one of best Student actors at the 2016 Africa Film International Festival in Lagos disclosed that his character in Keteke came to him as a surprise when he received the script and it was a least expected one though he loved it. Digging further to find out about the role, he refused to open it saying he’ll hold it as a surprise for the mean time. He added that what made this KETEKE project special is the fact that it was his second time he has partnered with veteran actor Fred Amugi in a film, the first one being the cursed ones. KETEKE is a film that is worth anticipating for he added.
KETEKE is set during the 80s rail service system, when the train is the only means of transport from the outskirts. A couple – BOI (Adjetey Anang) and ATWEI (Lydia Forson) is bent on delivering their first baby in Akete but misses their first train. A wrong decision finds them in the middle of nowhere. Will they make it on time for the delivery, or, risk losing the baby and mother?”
The film also features Fred Amugi, Raymond Safo etc.
Joseph is currently in partnership with TV3 for a nationwide tour of his short film ‘Running’ which deals with the issue of child marriage directed by Jumic Emma Anderson and has also recently inked down another film project which is expected to be released in 2018.
