Sarkodie’s diss song aimed at Shatta Wale hugely contributed to the success of the latter’s album launch concert, says Mark Okraku Mantey.
Mantey is of the opinion that the diss track provoked the fans to fill the Fantasy Dome in order to prove how loyal they are to Wale.
“Sarkodie contributed to the success. Yes, his diss song got the masses out. They were angry and came to prove their support.” stated Mantey to Andy Dosty on Hitz FM.
On October 10, Sarkodie released a scathing diss track aimed at Wale.
It came after weeks of name-calling and insults. The rapper insinuated that Wale’s reason for attacking colleague artistes is because his “hype is vanishing.”
He also responded to the claims that he is poor – asking God to bless him with poverty if his current life is what being poor looks like.
Sarkodie also took a dig at Wale’s constant bragging about his properties saying he doesn’t have enough money to buy a brand new Vogue
“Paul a wanba nt3m ni fame no fofo no/ Gyai alumi ni sh3 na sh3 cue blings,” raps Sarkodie.
“New money, new car, new house so you can’t think far but time is running out, we for raise bar. Cos after some time nobody get time for your bullshit/Eye wegyimi kakra, stay focused. How many times na makakyerε wo wɔ phone so sɛ nea woyɛ no nyina no dey need.”
