Samini’s song featuring Kidi tops Live 91.9 FM Most Played Chart

Ghanaian artiste, Samini is the most played artiste on Ghanaian urban radio.

His song ‘Master Key‘ is number one on Live 91.9 FM‘s Top 10 Most Played Chart. The song featuring Kidi was released in November 2018 in the run-up to the release of his seventh studio album ‘Untamed.’

The album was named ‘Album of The Year’ in a poll conducted by ReggaeVille, the biggest gathering of reggae lovers on the internet.

It was released on December 22, 2018, and makes Samini the first African artiste to win the bragging rights. It debuted at number 8 on the Billboard World Music Chart.

The ‘My Own’ act took the top spot ahead of projects by the likes of Stephen Marley, Protoje, Kabaka Pyramid, Mr. Vegas, Agent Sasco, Ziggy Marley and Spice.

Samini won Best African Act at the 2006 MOBO Awards, and Best Performer at the 2009 MTV African Music Awards.

Songs by Kwesi Arthur, Wendy Shay, J. Derobie, Guilty Beatz, Kidi, Sarkodie, and Freda Rhymz occupy various spots on the chart.

Live FM Top 10 Most Played is curated from the daily playlist on shows on the Ring Road-based radio station. It transmits on Route919Live 91.9 FM‘s Drive show hosted by Antoine Mensah every Friday between 3 and 6pm.
