Ghanaian artiste, M.anifest’s lyrical onslaught on Tim Westwood TV kicked off with a prayer, of sort.

The ‘godMC’ then proceeds to show off the lyrical prowess that has endeared him to a very dedicated fan base in Ghana and around the world.

He name-drops the likes of Jussie Smollett and R.Kelly who are entangled in legal issues.

“This is the how to be great starter kit,” raps M. Dot. “It’s lonely at the top but I think I love the view.”

M.ANIFEST NAMED 2019 EPHRAIM AMU MEMORIAL LECTURE SPEAKER

In other news, M.anifest has been named as a speaker at the 2019 Ephraim Amu Memorial Lecture.

The ‘godMC’ act will speak on the topic “Re-imagining us: the role of popular music in self-actualisation” at the event which will be on May 30, 3019 at the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences auditorium.

The lecture was started in 1998 by the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences and the International Centre for African Music and Dance of the University of Ghana.

It was initiated to “commemorate the achievements of a humble and dedicated man from Peki Avetile, who devoted his entire life to cultural nationalism” in the person of Ephraim Kɔku Amu, the late Ghanaian composer, musicologist and teacher.

An exhibition of memorabilia on the life and deeds of the great, distinguished composer and nationalist precede the Ephraim Amu Memorial lectures. The event often attracts a choral group which sings and celebrates Amu’s compositions at the lecture.

In the inaugural lecture, the late Emeritus Professor J. H. Kwabena Nketia traced the beginning of the story of Amu in order to give a synoptic portrait (A Synoptic Portrait of Amu) of him as a man of action committed to culture and development.
