The much hyped and talked about awards ceremony that is fast giving the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards a hot chase, the 3 Music Awards happened yesterday.
Many Ghanaian musicians took home an award or two, but the night belonged to the self-acclaimed African Dancehall King and the leader of Shatta Movement, Charless Nii Armah Mensah aka Shatta Wale.
The SM boss won for himself eight prestigious awards on the night from the over ten nominations he had, beating Stonebwoy to win both the Dancehall song and artiste of the year with his smash hit song ‘Gringo’ off his Reign Album.
After the awards show, Micheal Owusu Addo aka Sarkodie has become the subject of social media mockery and trolls as he couldn’t even win one award out of the about eight nominations he had. People are attributing his current predicament to what happened to Medikal about two years ago at the VGMA.
