Singer Cina Soul, the rising star who also now bears the torch in the genre of Ga highlife performed “Jorley,” her beautiful recent single chastising a cheating man, live at the 2019 3Music Awards.
The ceremony, which came off as the Fantasy Dome in Accra two days ago, saw the controversial Shatta Wale sweep a historic eight laurels, including Music Man of the Year.
Glistening in golden costume, Soul, whose golden set kick-started a streak of performances by emerging voices in Ghana (the rest including Freda Rhymes, Tulenkey, Kofi Mole, and Quamina MP).
Recently signing with Universal Music, Soul (born Christie Quincyna Quarcoopome) is author of a 2016 EP, Metanoia. She has performed on major stages in the country, and has been associated with a number of top acts…most notably, Worlasi, KiDi, and rapper M.anifest.
