When our elders use the saying ‘fear humans and not ghosts’, you should know they are probably talking about self-acclaimed ‘dancehall king’ Shatta Wale.
Over the weekend, the final funeral rites for the late Zylofon Music executive Willie Roi were held and yet for some inexplicable reason, Shatta Wale failed to make an appearance at the event.
During his time at Zylofon, nobody fought more for Shatta Wale and attacked his main rival Stonebwoy than Willie Roi. Roi hated Stonebwoy to an unreasonable extent and even once famously admitted to sabotaging his chance to land a huge international collaboration.
After his death, Stonebwoy plainly said he probably won’t attend Roi’s funeral due to the kind of relationship they had in life, but Shatta Wale is one you should reasonably expect to attend to lay to rest a great influence on his career.
Yet despite all this support he landed to Shatta Wale at the expense of Stonebwoy, Wale failed to find the time to attend Roi’s funeral over the weekend.
The veteran music producer was finally laid to rest after his passing earlier in the year, and yet his ‘protége’ failed to make an appearance.
Responding to questions about why he failed to go, Wale claims he was preparing for the 3Music Awards and that Willie Roi as a professional would have understood why he had to skip his funeral.
So Wale could not even find a couple of hours on Saturday to see to it that such a staunch supporter was buried? In return for all that loyalty Roi showed Wale, this is the thanks he gets?
Apparently, 4LYF ends immediately you are of no more use to Wale.
