The days are getting closer to the climax of the 20th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and all expectations are high with numerous fanbases spending as much as GHC1,000 to vote for their favorite musician to win an award on the night.
Many have tipped Shatta Wale to win big on the night with other artists also predicting a win for themselves but in the case of Ghanaian rapper Edem, his weight is solidly behind Lynx Entertainment signee, Kuami Eugene to win the ultimate award which is Artist of the Year.
In an exclusive interview with Class Drive on Class FM, Edem expressed his desire to see the “Wish Me Well” crooner carry the day. He told Prince Benjamin, host of the show that Kuami Eugene is his artiste of the year.
He was nominated in five categories at the 2019 VGMAs. It includes Producer of the Year, Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year, Highlife Artiste of the Year, Album of the Year, and Artiste of the Year categories.
The Lynx Entertainment signed artist will be competing with Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and King Promise for the ultimate Artiste of the Year award.
The 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has been slated for Saturday, May 18 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
