Gospel musician, Joyce Blessing has stated emphatically that while most musicians are seriously craving to win awards at the upcoming VGMA’s, she’s not worried about the phenomenon.

According to the, ‘I Swerve You’ hitmaker, in an interview with Foster Romanus on the Late Night Celebrity on ETV, she’s too big a brand to fight over awards.

When asked whether she was comfortable with her two nominations (Gospel Artiste of the Year and Gospel Song of the Year) at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, she replied that she has won for 22 awards within 6 years of being in the gospel ministry so it was not necessary to fight over awards.

“I’m a big artiste, my brand is huge so why would I go around gallivanting and fighting back at organizers because of awards,” she said.

Though the gospel crooner added that being winning awards proves one’s good work and also serves as a sign of honour, she doesn’t deem it a necessity to fight when organizers do not honour you or the award doesn’t go your way.
