The “CCTV” hitmaker, King Promise in an interview with Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast’s Radio Central has pleaded with his fans to vote massively for him to win awards at the yet-to-be-held 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).

King Promise’ reason is simple ─ to avoid being trolled again on social media if he fails to win awards at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and for this reason, his fans should vote massively for him to win big.

King Promise during the interview said;

“It shows we are doing something good. We were nominated last year and this year too, that’s a good thing, it means we are progressing. We got more nominations than last year, it means we are doing a good job and we won’t let anything pulls us down.

“I’m very thankful because VGMA is a very prestigious awards ceremony. It’s the number 1 right here in Ghana so if they recognize your works it’s a plus so I’m very grateful.

“The fans will vote so that we win what we deserve. If not they will laugh at us on Twitter like last year. Everyone should vote”.

King Promise has been nominated in the categories; “Artiste of the Year”, “Highlife Song of the Year”, “Afropop Song of the Year”, “Highlife Artiste of the Year”, “Songwriter of the Year”, “Male Vocalist of the Year”, “Best Collaboration of the Year”, “Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year”, and “Best African Collaboration”.

In all, King Promise bagged 9 nominations and expecting to win massively at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
