Legendary Ghanaian high life musician, Rex Omar has revealed that he stopped going to church because he doesn’t want to be a sinner and a hypocrite.

Speaking with Deloris Frimpong Manso on her popular television show; The Delay Show, the now president of GHAMRO (Ghana Music Rights Organisation) revealed that he stopped going to church since 1997 regardless of the fact that he has been an active member of Assemblies of God.

“I believe if I had continued to go to Church I would have been a hypocrite, a bad person and a sinner,” he said.

According to the musician, most people pretend to be good Christians but you later find out that you are even far better than them and this takes away your direct relationship with God.

He added that the church makes people narrow-minded in their thinking because there are so many unanswered questions about the bible that when you ask pastors, they make it look like a taboo claiming the bible is silent about it.
