Organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Charterhouse Production recently released a new official theme song to replace the Osibisa’s ‘Warrior Song’ for the Twentieth (20) year celebration.

The song which was titled ‘Our Music Lives’ which featured Joe Mettle, Adina, Kidi, Kuami Eugen, Amandzeba and Teephlow with production credit going to Kaywa received both positive and negative reviews.

Teephlow has however revealed that contrary to the perception of some people that he received a huge sum of money because he featured on the song, he didn’t receive a pesewa from the firm.

The multi-talented rapper told Sammy Flex on the ‘Showbiz Agenda’ show that this is not just a feature he has done for free. He stressed that anytime he gets any song he feels is a great one, he has no problem jumping on it for free and as such, he decided to do this theme song for the VGMA without taking any money because it is one that blows his mind.

When Sammy Flex inquired if his failure to take any money for featuring on such a big song was because the organizers have promised to give him an award, the “Forgive” hitmaker disclosed that it was not the case. He was quick to add that it would have been a bad idea anyway, especially when he deserves the award.
