Aside the Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy VGMA confusion, one notable thing that happened at the VGMA 2019 event was Sarkodie being crowned Ghana’s ‘Artiste of the Decade’.
The popular rapper beat competition from the creme de la creme to win the most prestigious award at the VGMA 2019 event.
International award organizer, BET, has since reacted to the news.
Taking to their Facebook page, they congratulated Sarkodie for winning that award by posting a photo of Sarkodie with the caption;
“Our #MCM has been crowned the ‘Artiste of the Decade’ at the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards! Congrats @sarkodie #MusicMonday ?✨??”
