Nigerian superstar Wizkid has thanked legends Tic Tac (now Tic) and Tony Tetuila for inspiring him.
He didn’t deliberate on how he was inspired but it seems a new single is loading thanks to that inspiration.
Tic and Tony Tetuila too Africa by storm with the single “Fefe n’efe” off Tic’s 4th Studio album ‘Wope’.
The single is regarded by many as the breakthrough single which has propelled collaborations between Ghanaian and Nigerian artistes.
Wizkid took to his IG story to shout out Tic and Tony Tetuila (who is now a politician).
This isn’t the first time Wizkid has been inspired by the Ghanaian sound as his hit single Ojuelegba had a sample from Alhaji K. Frimpong’s Kyen kyen bi adi mawu and his single with Muty4, Manya was sampled from VIP’s Ahomka womu.
