Ghanaian dancehall legend and CEO of High-Grade Family, Samini has shared his view on the recent fight that happened between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy on the night of the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2019.

Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Samini asked Ghanaians to forgive his son Stonebwoy whom he has mentored for years for pulling out a gun at the event which caused fear and panic in the auditorium.

According to Samini, his mum has taken care of the Ghanaian Top Skanka and Bhim Nation president Stonebwoy before and that he is not a violent person but very street-wise.

“My mum has taken care of Stonebwoyb before. I know him. He is not a violent person. But he is very street-wise,” he said

In his submission, he made known to the Ghanaian populace and music fans worldwide of how Shatta Wale has always been attacking and tormenting Stonebwoy in his tweets and self-recorded live videos.

After blaming Shatta Wale of being the cause of the whole thing, he went on also to ask that Shatta Wale also be forgiven because he didn’t know what he did could cause a problem of that sort.

Meanwhile, the board and leadership of Ghana Music Awards today at their press conference addressing the fracas that took place at the VGMA 2019 came to a decision to ban the two dancehall greats, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy and strip them off the awards won at the just ended awards ceremony.

According to the VGMA board, the decision was taken after “careful deliberations” and “extensive consultation” with stakeholders in the music industry.

This means the two dancehall artists are to return the two awards they both won on the VGMA night. The two will not qualify to be selected for future VGMA awards.

The two are also on a GHC 50,000 bail with a surety each to be of good behaviour and they are supposed to return to court on the 20th of June 2019.
