The never-ending turf war between dancehall artiste’s Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy escalated again at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards after Stonebwoy pulled a gun on stage while receiving the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year Award.

The confusion started when Shatta Wale and his militants rushed onto the stage when the BHIM boss was about to receive his award. Afraid of what could happen, Stonebwoy quickly pulled out a gun in an attempt to shoot but was calmed down by his management and security officials at the Dome.

Following the turf war, it has emerged that Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Satekla has signed a juicy deal with Samsung Mobile Ghana Limited has had his deal terminated after the VGMA fight between him and dancehall act Shatta Wale.

Though it has not yet been confirmed that Samsung has terminated their ambassadorial deal with Stonebwoy, some social media users have started asking if indeed Samsung Ghana have terminated their deal with the “Top Skanka” hitmaker.

The 2019 VGMA show was temporarily put on hold amidst the pandemonium between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale in the Dome and some of the patrons started leaving the auditorium when the chaos started.

It is important to note that Stonebwoy has consistently won the Reggae Dancehall Artiste of the Year for 5 years in a row. Shatta Wale’s ‘My Level’ and ‘Gringo’ wins Highlife Song of the Year and the Reggae, Dancehall Song of the Year respectively.

Both dancehall artistes Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale have since been stripped of all the awards they won at the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA). They have also been banned indefinitely by the organizers, Charterhouse.
