Asamoah Gyan has his faults but there are times when he carries out some impressive deeds which are worthy of commendation.

One of those deeds which he carried out recently, which was to help the St Francis College of Education in Hohoe to solve a decades-old water problem, has led to him being honoured for it by being enstooled as a chief.

Gyan and his foundation constructed a mechanized borehole for the school at the cost of $3,000. Prior to its construction, students had been forced to walk 2.5 kilometres to get water to use.

In recognition of his efforts, Gyan has been named as a chief by the school and the traditional area it’s located in. Gyan has been enstooled as the ‘Ngoryifia-Doemenyotor’ of the Gbi Traditional Area. His title translates to ‘Kind-hearted, Progressive Chief’.

Congratulations to Gyan for this major honour.
