The hyped “Peace Conference” finally took off at the Marriot Hotel in Accra.
The two Ace Dancehall artistes Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy after agreeing to quash their rivalry and make peace with each other decided to hold this press conference to officially make it public.
The conference was a successful one, it saw media personalities from all angles. The likes of Wendy Shay, Bullet, Bulldog, Black Cedi… were present. Not forgetting our nkonkonsa bloggers too.
I’ve broken everything that went down in the afternoon below:
Ghana First Conference
Nana Aba Anamoah announced that the two are working on an upcoming concert dubbed “Ghana First”, the date for the concert which was initially pronounced to be slated for the 20th of June is actually unknown. Updates on the date will be released soon
We wanted this peace thing long ago
Stonebwoy stated that both himself and Shatta had wanted to make peace long ago:
“I wanted Peace long ago because us musicians are more creative and are able to write good lyrics when there is Peace of Mind and i believe my brother Shatta Wale also wanted Peace.”
The Media plays a role
Shatta Wale in a response thrown at him suggested that the media plays a very vital role in making or breaking relationships between acts like them.
“The media brings the division between us. For the peace to last between us, then the media also has a role to play in this,”
” The media should push us like how other African countries are doing for their artists. This guy is better than the other should stop,” he added.
They are willing to Work with Charterhouse
Stonebwoy answered to whether or not they’d accept if Charterhouse took the ban of them.
“We are willing and open to work with whoever is ready to work with us. If they do lift the ban, we are willing to work as professionals and we will do things right,” Stonebwoy said.
“It is only human, we are not perfect, and as humans we will keep trying to get to the top and for the peace between us to last. Peace is key in everything.”
Oh! and Wendy Shay got snubbed by Kelvyn Boy
