The biggests dancehall artistes in Ghana are set to appear in court today.
Following their VGMAs brawl, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale after making a first court appearance on May 22nd are set to stand before the Adjabeng District Court today, June 20, 2019. click here to see the moment Stonebwoy pulled a gun on VGMAs 2019 stage.
The two musicians were individually charged with Breach of Peace, contrary to Section 2017 (1) of the Criminal and other Offences Act 1960 (ACT 29).
Stonebwoy received an additional charge of display of a weapon in public space without permission contrary to Section 7 (1) and 26 (1) (a) of Arms and Ammunition Act-1972 (NRCD.9). click here to see photos from their first court appearance.
They have both been released on bail since. Their court appearance today might be the decider– whether or not either of them will end up with having to spend jail time.
Although the both Shatta and Stonebwoy have promised to be of good behaviour to the public, the law might not spare them like the media has.
