Ghanaian top scorer and a striker Asamoah Gyan has broken his silence on starting a match.

Coach Kwesi Appiah has benched Asamoah Gyan in Ghana’s first-two games. The game against Benin, he was benched. He played a 3 minutes game in Ghana’s clash with Cameroon.

Coach Kwesi Appiah has been bashed by most Ghanaians for keeping top players at the benched.

In a post-match conference after Ghana played against Cameroon, Coach Kwesi Appiah revealed that Asamoah is a good player but he’s the coach and he decides what is best for them

In a video we spotted on CitiTv Facebook page, Asamoah Gyan was giving his counts on whether the coach has to make him start in the first XI players and also he talked on their next game against Guinea Bissau.

According to Asamoah Gyan “the coach has the power to decide who plays, we just have to be physically and mentally sound prepared so when we are given the opportunity we play”

“At the end of the day, every player wants to play” he added
