Ghana will face their familiar opponents on Monday 8th July in their quest to overcome the North Africans again.

Ghana Black Stars have faced Carthage Eagles of Tunisia 7 times with 6 wins. We have found a throwback video in 1998 when Black Stars won 2-0 against Tunisia.

Out of three matches played already, Ghana Black Stars have only one win with two draws.

The game against the Squirrels of Benin resulted in a 2-2 draw. It was reasonable because a Ghanaian player called John Boye was red carded. The coach James Kwesi Appiah reacted.

Also, Ghana played a goalless draw against Cameroon. The first Ghana victory was the game against Guinea Bissau. Jordan Ayew and Thomas Partey made Ghana to qualify to the next level.

In a pre-match conference coach James Kwesi Appiah said;

Tomorrow’s match will be entertaining from both sides and Tunisia is one of the best teams in the tournament. I believe in my team and they’ll perform well tomorrow. Football now doesn’t depend on history. We’re not the favorites after the former champions and the hosts existed as well as Morocco. As you see in this competition there’re no favorites but we’ll do our best to qualify

We pray and hope our national team qualifies to break the drought.
