Sarkodie has finally responded to rapper Medikal’s tweet “4 years ago I saved Ghana rap music from dying and I Promise to keep it alive”
Some months back Medikal became the talk of Ghana profusely for his comment on saving Ghana rap music. Other rapper gurus thought it was a derogatory comment from the rapper and he should not be saying that because he’s not long in the music industry.
Strongman Burner, Kwesi Slay and many other rappers shared their thoughts on that. Many netizens descended on him for disrespecting legends he came to meet in the rap music.
Africa’s best and most awarded male rapper Sarkodie on 4SYTE Tv asserted that he general feel like that and he has to express what he feels, Medikal is right to say that.
When asked whether Medikal in one way or the other was disrespecting the legends like Obrafour, Reggie Rockstone, Okomfou Kwadee, Sarkodie among many others who have been relevant and consistent in in Ghana rap music Sarkodie responded that:
“When I’m rapping and I say I’m the best I’m not thinking of Obrafuor but I still see Obrafuor as the one but at that moment I’m not thinking of Obrafuor so when I listen to Medikal talk about him he’s thinking of the same way, he’s not thinking of Sarkodie is out of the way and am here”.
