Menzgold’s embattled boss Nana Appiah Mensah is reportedly still in police custody and behind bars for not meeting his bail conditions.
Lawyers of Nam1 made this revelation after he was hit with a 1 Billion Ghana Cedis bail. Apparently, Nam1 has not been able to meet his bail condition which calls for him to present five sureties out of which 3 must be justified, for him to be set free.
KOD the spokesperson and brother of the Nana Appiah Mensah in a series of social media post has alleged that although Nana Appiah Mensah has presented all that is required of him to be successfully bailed the government and police service are refusing to accept anything because they’ve made the issue a political one now, and are trying to cover up some mess they have done surrounding this issue. He says they brought him to Ghana to kill him.
As it stands now, NAM1 has been slapped with 13 counts of defrauding by false pretenses, money laundering, abetment and carrying on deposit-taking business without license contrary to Section 6 (1) of the Banks and Specialised Deposit-taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930).
