President Akuffo Addo finally reacts to Junior Agogo’s death.

Ghanaians woke up on 22nd August to hear a tragic news on the demise of of former Black Stars player Junio Agogo.

Former Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol Rovers striker Junior Agogo has died, aged 40.

Agogo was hospitalized in 2015 after suffering stroke which debilitated him.

He was remembered for his eye-catching performances for the Black Stars during the 2008 Nations Cup on home soil when he scored a last minute goal for Ghana against Nigeria.

Both his colleagues in the national team and people of all walks of life have been paying tribute to Agogo, and the President has now added his voice.

On President Akufo-Addo’s twitter timeline, he wrote;

Saddened by the news of the death of former Black Stars Striker, Junior Agogo. He was a fine footballer, and was always proud to represent our nation. My sincere condolences to his family. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
