Jane Awindor, popularly known in the ghana music industry as Efya has shown her displeasure at the way we manage excessive plastic waste in Ghana.
Environmental specialists in the country and all over the world keep campaigning for people to stay away from the improper disposal of these plastics
Ghana’s lands which include water bodies, in particular, are seen often choked with plastic waste which causes a flood in some various parts of the country especially in Accra. These include polyethylene, bubble wrap, flexible bottles and lots more.
Efya called on the general public to desist from using plastic waste which is not decomposable
She suggested various ways of recycling should be adopted to reduce the effects waste has on land and even animals that depend on water
As part of her efforts to create public awareness, she is organizing a concert at the Accra stadium together with Stonebwoy, EL, Gyedu Blay Ambulley and lots of other musicians. The concert is to take place on the 28th of September 2019.
