Ghanaian rapper Joey B has disclosed that Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy deserves huge respect for taking it upon himself to sign Kelvyn Boy and making him big.
Speaking Jay Foley on Hitz Fm, he indicated that signing your fellow artistes on to your label isn’t a bad idea but sign someone on genuinely for their betterment and not for you as the Artiste to look good.
Joey B added that the problem with signing artiste to your label is, you sign them on, they blow big and that’s when they would start disrespecting you.

Joey B also bigged up Stonebwoy for all that he’s done for Kelvyn Boy and OV.
He said;
“Signing artistes on to your own label isn’t a bad idea but for me, I’m not sure i would sign any artiste; i might co-produce, endorse you or something of a sort but i won’t sign any new act. Because if you don’t take care, after the artistes blow big, that artiste might disappoint you and you would rather be very hurt for helping someone.”
He also added that;
“Sometimes when you sign artistes, it relegates you, and that’s why i love Stonebwoy. Despite the fact that he signed artistes, he still makes time for himself and the other artistes; look at Kelvyn Boy and OV now; these two are big artistes on their own and so Stonebwoy deserves huge respect for all that he’s done for them.”
