Upcoming dancehall act, J.Derobie has commented on the recent hike in taxes as well as utility bills which has gotten a lot of Ghanaians talking.
According to him, the previous administration left a lot of mess and Nana Akuffo-Addo is working towards making things better. He opines that the president needs more time to make things better.
“Akuffo-Addo’s administration to me, personally I think he’s working and its yet for us to see, and I think we will see it some years to come. People complained about hardship and all that during the previous government and they kept asking questions why all these are happening because, most of the things were not done to erase all the mess.
“People are still complaining about hardship because the previous government failed to do the right thing in the previous years which is affecting us, so even if Akuffo-Addo is fixing it you wouldn’t see.”
With the introduction of the CST which was implemented on the 1st of October, the increase in fuel prices which have subsequently affected the price of public transportation services and the hike in utility bills (water and electricity).
Ghanaians have taken to Social media to protest about these increments. Many Ghanaians seem to be enjoying the change they voted for as these sudden increases are making the lives of Ghanaians unbearable.
