A while ago Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy made an interesting statement which got Ghanaians talking.
He said that;
Big up to SM, big up to Shatta Wale mi breda, big up to Sarkodie mi breda. It will take another 40 years to find me, Sarkodie and Shatta in this industry. Forty years. We be national asset. If you like don’t protect, if you like protect, we be national asset.
Well, reacting to what Stonebwoy said, Kuami Eugene indicated 40 years is far-fetched and it took him only 2 years to get 15 hit songs which are currently played across the world.
According to him, in the next two to three years, he will be doing bigger things than Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and Sarkodie combined.
Kuami Eugene said to MzGee during an interview on Hitz Fm that;
“It took me just 2 years to get 15 hit songs and be playing shows all over the world. What makes Stonebwoy think it would take some of us another 40 years to reach their level? “
“That 40 years is too much, Some of us might die in before that 40 years, I think he should reduce it small for some of us”. …like two or three years, we can able to do what Stonebwoy, Sarkodie and Shatta Wale has done but 40 years is too far”
