Arguably the most popular election candidate at this point, Hon. Aponkye sadly lost the District Assembly Elections held on the 17th of this month.
So What is the buzz around this man?
Real name, Nana Adabor Ibrahim Isaah Ampim, Hon. Aponkye got the love of people in his community and that of the internet not only because of his funny name [Aponkye (goat)] but because he has quite a character to go with it.
Though managing to win the heart of the internet through making friends with Nana Aba Anamoah and sharing “koko” on the election day, Hon. Aponkye still lost the District Assembly election to Hon. Abdul Rashad, by a very wide margin [see screenshot below].
The Election.
On the election day after the ballot for the stronghold polling station of Hon Aponkye was counted, he jumped on a motorbike and started celebrating with his followers [eye witnesses say]

The Results/ Supreme Court
After the counting of the official ballots, Hon. Aponkye lost at a great margin [see screenshot below], and ended up really broken hearted and his dreams for the people of his community shattered, as he threatens to pursue further investigation into the results.
