Wendy Shay and Food and Drugs Board Authority Ghana brouhaha.

Ghanaian hottest female artist, Wendy Shay lost a huge endorsement deal yesterday, January 16.

According to Wendy Shay, a 1,000-dollar alcoholic beverage offer was refused by the Ghana Food and Drugs Board for a reason.

By a post the RuffTown Records signee shared on her social media platforms, Food and Drugs Board authorities declined her ambassadorial deal with the foreign company because they do not want any Ghanaian Celebrities to advertise for the alcoholic beverages.

The Food and Drugs Board indicated in a report sent direct to Wendy Shay that, because of her influence on youth, advertising for alcoholic beverages would certainly lead to alcohol abuse.

The Food and Drugs Board of Ghana clarified that Wendy Shay’s contract with a foreign company was rejected, not to make her appreciate her fame, but to take care of all Ghanaians especially the young ones who idolizes her craft as a musician.

Wendy Shay and her managements appear furious at the decisions taken by the Food and Drugs Board Authorities.

She delivered another blow to the FDA to blame them for being biased in their decisions.

According to Wendy Shay, their decision is unfair because they know that alcoholic beverages are bad and can lead to abuse, but they only take money by allowing it to be sold.
