Wendy Shay, recounting Nana Akuffo Addo’s invitation to a few Ghanaian male musicians to meet him at his palace in Accra, even pleaded with the President to invite her as well.
Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, among the few Ghanaian male artists, have ever been invited to visit the sitting president, Nana Akuffo Addo, to address entertainment and a new theme to promote the nation’s entertainment industry.
Very few Ghanaian female musicians had the opportunity to meet with the president.
Wendy on Twitter asked Nana Addo to invite her as he did to male musicians.
Wendy Shay called the herself Queen of Ghana Music while she was looking for the President’s attention.
Once, Wendy said that the entertainment industry, especially the music industry, is not equal to female stars because they are marginalized in most circumstances.
