LeBron James in tears after Kobe Bryant’s death.

LeBron James was seen in tears, embracing multiple people, and after the shocking death of NBA and Lakers great Kobe Bryant walked with his head down hours.

According to NBC footage, James had just landed with his teammates in Los Angeles after a game in Philadelphia’s hometown of Bryant where James passed Bryant with 33,655 points to become the third highest-scorer in NBA history.

Bryant, 41, died Sunday morning in a private helicopter crash in Calabasas, Calif. His 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, was also killed and there were no crash survivors who are believed by officials to have killed nine people. The accident that happened during foggy conditions is currently under investigation.

Bryant responded on Saturday to James ‘ passing onto the scoring list with a social message

Continuing to move the game forward @KingJames,” Bryant tweeted. Much respect my brother #33644.

Bryant finished his career with 33,644 points.

James paid tribute to Bryant during the game by wearing shoes which read “Mamba 4 Life,” referring to Bryant’s nickname.

James had remembered the moment he first met Bryant after passing Bryant Saturday night.

“Just admiring him for so many years and seeing him from afar, and then being able to be in practices with him, and me watching and learning — it’s just too much. The story is just too much.

It doesn’t make sense,” James said Saturday. “And just to make a long story short, now I’m here in a Lakers uniform in Philadelphia, where he’s from, where the first time I ever met him he gave me his shoes, it’s just surreal.”
