Patrick Allotey Speaks For The First Time After Punching The Face Of A Spectator

Patrick Allotey breaks silence over his unlawful act.

WBO Africa Super Welterweight Champion, Patrick Allotey was on Sunday (January 26) captured on a video punching the face of a spectator at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The person he punched has been identified as one Mr. Siaw and according to him, he did nothing to provoke the boxer.

Meanwhile according to a Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) member, Alhaji Tophic, the Boxing rules state that a boxer is not supposed to be fighting outside the ring regardless of the level of aggression. Failure to do so will lead to the revocation of his licence.

Patrick Allotey in an interview with Happy Sports has begged the authorities not to revoke his license as a professional boxer.

He went further to admit that he he is guilty was provoked by the act of Mr. Siaw.

Also, Patrick Allotey explained that his manager has been to Ghana Boxing Authority to plead on his behalf.

“Yes I admit I did hurt him, but I am very sorry. I was provoked and I should have been calm. I can’t defend myself over this, all I say is I am sorry. My managers have been there already to plead on my behalf and I will be there tomorrow to do same”,

he told Happy Sports.

“I will also plead with the GBA not to revoke my license”,

he added.
