The National Democratic Congress(NDC) has been hit by the recent bribery and corruption scandal that was disclosed by the UK court relating to Airbus.

The leadership of the biggest opposition party the former president H.E. John Dramani Mahama, seems to be the target by the ruling party. These are some of the way members of the NDC has attacked the scandal saying”The hatred for Mahama is too much.

When Akufo Addo was caught pants down in the $510million Ameri deal, they said he was misled, and everybody accepted it.

When he was caught in the PDS fraud with ECG assets worth over Gh¢20billion, they said he knew nothing about it, and that’s it.

When his name was clearly mentioned by Kwesi Nyantakyi in the number 12 exposé, they said Nyantakyi had engaged in influence peddling, end of story!

When he was caught in the missing 400 NDA tricycles worth Gh¢2million, his govt, and the mainstream media decided to ignore it.

When his men were caught in the Galamsey bribe scandal, NYA procurement thievery, Gh¢1.5million Shea nut procurement fraud, they said he had no hand in them. End of story!

When he was caught in the $12million Oslo Chancery deal, the bloated Gh¢800,000 website deal and the attempt to swindle Ghanaians in the over Gh¢130million tax exemption for his relative, it didn’t ignite much public opprobrium.

Just this week, it emerged that over 500 excavators disappeared under his watch. The cost of one excavator here in Ghana is Gh¢200,000. Gh¢200,000×500 = Gh¢100million. Gh¢100million worth of earthmoving equipment vanished, yet, people are not outraged.

Today, a court ruling in the UK that didn’t even mention the name of Mahama is enough for people to start drawing conclusions that Mahama had engaged in a fraudulent activity that led to Ghana losing £3million,

£3million is equivalent to Gh¢18million, which is even less than 1⅓ of what Akufo Addo wasted on foreign travels in 9months. The hatred for Mahama in this country is amazing.
