The European Union Delegation to Ghana is looking for a Secretary in the Trade and Economic Section

We are

The European Union (EU) is an economic and political partnership between 27 European countries. It plays an important role in international affairs through diplomacy, trade, development aid and working with global organizations. Abroad, the EU is represented through more than 140 diplomatic representations, known also as EU Delegations, which have a similar function to those of an embassy. The EU Delegation to Ghana’s mission is “Building a strong partnership with Ghana to promote Peace, Prosperity, and People”.

We offer

We offer a post of Secretary in the Trade and Economic Section. Under this post and under the direct supervision of the Team Leader of the Section, the successful candidate will provide secretarial support for document management and filing, internal communication, provision of information to the section, organization of events, and for the initiation of operational files. The specific job function may be changed in accordance with the needs of the Delegation.

We are looking for a proactive and organized colleague with a flexible attitude to adapt to various tasks, to work under pressure and to respond quickly to new demands. In addition, the requirements are as follows:

Compulsory requirementAsset
QualificationsMinimum HND (High school diploma) or its
equivalents.
Professional experienceMinimum 4 years in performing the above
mentioned tasks
Working experience in an international
organization.
Knowledge of languagesENGLISH –ability to read, to write and to
speak (C2 Level)
FRENCH
Knowledge of IT toolsProven extensive user experience with MS
Office Package or similar as well as with
internet-based services.
