The accident occurred between Dawadawa 2 and Kawampe.
The accident reportedly occurred after a Yutong bus had a head-on collision with a mini Sprinter bus with registration number AS 1801-18 on the Kintampo-Tamale Highway.
The assemblyman of the area, Aziz Mohammed, confirming the incident“We have been to the scene and I can confirm to you that about 15 persons have been burnt beyond recognition. The others who sustained various degrees of burn injuries have been rushed to the Kintampo and Techiman Hospitals.”
A report from the local FM station there, Nkomode FM says that, both vehicles were engulfed with fire after the crash and about fifteen passengers have been burnt beyond recognition.
