A man who checked COVID 19 positively and received treatment at the Tema General Hospital allegedly absconded from the clinic.
The 41-year-old man is said to have left the hospital for home, opting for self-isolation because the facility lacks the resources to treat him as he complained about heat.
Following work by the Noguchi Memorial Institute, the patient, a 41-year-old Ghanaian male who returned from Germany, tested positive on 14 March.
He has made 107 interactions, of which 5 submitted to the hospital for examination, according to the survey.
The patient is one of seven cases already recoded by Ghana Health Service according to the study.
