Confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Ghana rises to 21.

Earlier the day (March 21st) the initial records of Coronavirus Infections in Ghana was 19, two new cases have been again recorded as at 21 March 2020 – 21:15GMT.

Ghana records two(2) new cases of COVID-19 with 1 death, this leaves the existing case count in the country to be 20.

COVID 19: Patient Suffering From Coronavirus Dies In Kumasi

Ghana has reported its first death from a novel coronavirus-infected patient.

The deceased is the male trader from Lebanon who has reported with fever and cough to a health facility in Kumasi.

“The information I got from the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service is that that person [the Lebanese man] has died. He died today,” a deputy Health Minister, Alex Abban,

confirmed to Citi News.

This past week, there were 13 new cases of the novel coronavirus infection.

At least three of those cases were thought to be spreading to the population.

Cases in Africa have reached 1,000 with the worst affected being Egypt, South Africa and Algeria.

Overall, with over 11,921 deaths, more than 287,239 people worldwide were infected with the virus.

For most people, coronavirus causes only mild to moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough, but in some cases serious illnesses resembling extreme pneumonia have been noted; particularly in elderly people and people with pre-existing conditions.
