According to ghanaweb.com, Ghana has joined other African Countries [ Malawi, Zimbabwe, South Africa…] in legalizing marijuana for health and industrial purposes.
It’s been a long and a very tough ride for lovers of the herb, but does the legalization mean you can just go grab yourself a joint and high all the up to the heavens??
Why Weed Was Legalized
On Friday the country’s Parliament passed into law the Narcotics Control Commission Bill, 2019.
The law now makes the country’s Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) a Commission with enhanced powers to oversee the industrial use of some narcotic substances.
ghanaweb.com reported.
As reported by ghanaweb.com Ghana is hoping to derive economic and health benefits from the substance as the legalization is meant to be used for only medical and industrial purposes.
…meaning cannabis is only legal if it’s being used to make medicines and hemp fibers [and things of that sort].
Where To Buy Weed In Ghana
If after reading all this, you still don’t know that you [as an ordinary person] can’t go buy weed for smoking, then let me shout it out, “YOU WILL GET ARRESTED IF YOU ARE CAUGHT POSSESSING WEED“, as the legalization is only meant for industrial purposes.
Anyway, while we wait for the government to legalize weed for personal use, tell us what you think in the comments section, …and share this post with your stoner friends!
