Ashaiman traders are preventing disinfection of Coronavirus in their markets.

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly Task Force was announced Monday, March 23, to embark on a disinfecting exercise in some of the locations where mass meetings are always guaranteed.

Given that the markets are places where rats and other animals are mostly hidden, Ghana’s government also decided to carry out fumigation activities in the midst of Coronavirus outbreak.

However, Ashaiman market traders who did not receive the information well challenged the officials who are all set to adhere to the decision of the government.

According to a post on UTV sighted by Thedistin.com, the traders were there and ready to continue their business duties as normal.

When officials approached them to explain why they came to trade instead of adhering to the rules, some of the traders complained that they did not realize that there are going to be such activities to be held today.
