The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) is a University in Winneba, Central Region of Ghana. It was established in 1992 by a government ordinance (PNDC Law 322) and with a relationship with the University of Cape Coast. Its main aim is to train teachers for the education system of Ghana

Job Description

The University of Education Winneba is recruiting educated and experienced individuals for the positions listed below with their Qualification and Experience neatly listed below them.

Recruitment Of Junior Assistant Registrars

Qualification and Experience

  1. Hold a master’s degree (e.g. MBA, MSc, MPhil, etc.) in a relevant field of study (Business Administration, Social Sciences, etc.).
  2. Be at least a Principal Administrative Assistant and its equivalence in the Registry of UEW.
  3. Other professional qualifications in a relevant field of study (eg. IHRMP, CIAMC, Law, etc) would be an added advantage.

Recruitment Of Finance Officer

Qualification and Experience

  1. Hold a first degree in a relevant area.
  2. Be a Chartered Accountant [a member of a recognized professional accounting body such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG); the Institute of Chartered Accountants, England, and Wales (ICAEW); Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA); etc.
  3. Be at least a Principal Accounting Assistant in the Finance Section of UEW. OR
  4. Hold a master’s degree (e.g. MBA, MSc., MPhil, MA, etc.) in a relevant field of study (Accounting, Banking & Finance, etc.).
  5. Be at least a Principal Accounting Assistant in the Finance Section of UEW.
  6. Other professional qualifications in a relevant field of study (eg. Taxation, Risk Management, Treasury Management, Stock Exchange, etc) would be an added advantage.

Recruitment Of Internal Auditors

Qualification and Experience

  1. Have a good first degree in Accountancy (B. Com or BSc. Administration, Accounting option) in addition to the following.
  2. Be a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana or its equivalent in any of the following professional accountancy bodies; ACCA or CIMA.
  3. Be at least a Principal Auditing Assistant in the Internal Audit section of UEW. OR
  4. Hold a master’s degree (e.g. MBA, MSc., MPhil, MA, etc.) in a relevant field of study (Accounting, or Finance with at least one-year relevant experience in Auditing or Accounting.
  5. Be at least a Principal Auditing Assistant in the Internal Audit section of UEW.

Recruitment Of Assistant Architects, Assistant Engineers, Assistant Surveyors

Qualification and Experience

  1. BSc. in a relevant area with a master’s degree or its equivalent.
  2. Be a member of a recognized professional body.
  3. Be at least a Principal Works Superintendent in the Directorate of Works and Physical Development
  4. Interested staff in the Directorate of Works and Physical Development of the University of Education, Winneba who meets the above requirements should download the relevant forms from the University’s Website for completion.

Recruitment Of Junior Assistant Librarians

Qualification and Experience

  1. A first degree in the relevant area.
  2. A two-year MA/ MSc. degree in Library or Information Studies from a reputable University.
  3. Served as a Principal Library Assistant in the University Library.

Recruitment Of Assistant Programmers And Assistant System Analysts

Qualification and Experience

  1. A first degree in the relevant area.
  2. A two-year M.Sc. in ICT or other relevant equivalent qualification.
  3. Must be at least a Principal ICT Assistant at the University.
