Thedistin.com has sighted a video of Ghanaians hurriedly going to gas stations to fill their gas cylinders ahead of a 2-week lockdown instructed by the President last night.

In the video, the number of Ghanaians at the gas station have refused to adhere to the social distancing measure which is crucial curbing the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

Also, these people are seen in long queues waiting patiently to fill their gas cylinders so as to have enough during the lockdown period.

Last night, President Akufo Addo announced a two-week lockdown of Greater Accra Region and large parts of Kumasi where the confirmed coronavirus cases are prevalent.

He also revealed that he dedicating his 3 months’ salary to the COVID 19 fund to help fight the disease and help vulnerable persons during this period.
