Thedistin.com has sighted a video of a woman who happens to be trader crying bitterly after her goods were seized by the police at the Cocoa Marketing Board Market amid the lockdown.

The President, Nana Akufo Addo last Friday night gave a directive for a two weeks lockdown in Greater Accra Region and larger parts of Kumasi.

However, the directive exempts market women allowing them to go to the market and sell their goods.

Unfortunately, some of the market women have decided to take advantage of the situation and flood the markets making the preventive measure of social distancing null and void.

As a result, the police who have been tasked to enforce the lockdown have seized goods of a woman at the market leaving her in tears.

In the video available to thedistin.com, the woman who is seen crying explains that she went to a shop to take food items to send home and sell.

According to her, on her way home, the items were badly arranged so she stopped to arrange them properly when someone came to her and wanted to buy some of her items at the market as a result decided to sell the food items to the person quickly.

In the process of selling the food item to the person, the police seized her goods.

She, however, pleaded with police to let her go because she’s a widow and does not have anyone to help her and her children.
