Following the increasing number cases of the COVID-19 which some affected some parts of the country, the was the need for precautionary measures to be taken and in view of that, is Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo declared last week that these affected areas will have to observe two weeks lockdown to be able to curb the spread.
The lockdown has affected many entities and market women especially as they were asked to ensure social distancing as well as to stay home for two weeks.
Some people cried out and poored out thei grievances to the government to put up plans and measure during the lockdown period.
In the latest update by the presdent of the country,he made some declaration which sought to have solve some difficulities the people will facev or are facing in this period
The president said in his speach that,there will be no bill on water consumption for three month ,meaning,citizens would not pay any water bill for 3 months .This has brought happiness to many people as everybidy seem to praise the president for the bold measure he has taken to help his people.
A post cited by thedistin on twitter indicates the real source and the alleged person behind this incentive which happens to be the former president, his Excellency John Dramani Mahama.
The former president made this appeal to the president to consider the measures, he said “it is time to utilize the stabilization fund to build additional buffers for the economy, and cushing the population. These measures may include short term temporary tariff relief in the respect of utilities.”
This was an appeal and a suggestion that was made by him on 3rd April,2020, two days before the president Akuffo Addo’s address.
