The wife of former Ghana Black Star player, Sulley Muntari is said to have donated 2000 Sanitary pads to support the needy during this difficult time.
From the look of things, Mrs. Menaye Donkor Muntari’s main focus was on Kayayeis who basically does not have any means to provide for themselves since they are known for making money by carrying goods for people in exchange for money.
We know this single effort will go a long way to benefit the needy, first of all, it will cut down their expenses so far as buying sanitary pad during menstruation is a concern.
Also, this will prevent any form of irritation they might experience should they not change their pads on time.
Here is what she said
“I felt the need to support kayayei by providing them with my top quality sanitary pads because I’ve always been a firm believer in giving back to society.”
“Especially now that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought about so much hardship, it is important to not only be kind to ourselves but also to others,” she said.
In appreciation of the great concern and love she has shown to the needy, here is what Mrs. Morrison from the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection said after they received her donation
“Menaye called me with passion and I could see that she sincerely wanted to help. The 2000 sanitary pads will go a long way to help the beneficiaries.”
