Two Ghanaians who have tested positive for the deadly coronavirus in Old Fadama, Accra are on the run.

According to a report by vimnewsgh, the two persons were traced due to the enhanced contact tracing in the lockdown areas of Accra, Tema, Kumasi, and Kasoa.

Upon conducting tests on the persons, results came positive and these two are on the run at the moment.

Of the two person, one is a head porter popularly known as “Kayeyi” who shares a single room with 15 other people.

These persons are on the run because they believe government is taking their samples for ritual purposes.

Interestingly, they are being supported by residents living these areas.

It appears the cases are due to community spread. The head porter ‘kayayei’ has been found after the Mayor of Accra, Mohammed Adjei Sowah, had to speak to the opinion leaders of the community. The gentleman is still at large.

However, the other is still at large and being searched for. As of today 9th April, 2020, Ghana’s cases stand at 313 with 6 deaths and 3 recoveries.
