The deadly coronavirus has brought the world to a standstill. The usual gatherings such as a wedding, naming ceremonies, etc. have been postponed.

However, a couple managed to beat all these odds and got married with over 45 people at their wedding ceremony.

A twitter user @Kiyanibba shared the interesting story on his twitter handle of her brother was set to wed over the weekend and he and the new bride went ahead anyway amid the lockdown.

She added that only the bride and groom with their witnesses were the only ones allowed albeit they wanted their friends and family to be present.

She narrates that she used Zoom to record the whole ceremony with about 45 people across the world.

Here is the full story;

”Today was my big bro’s wedding. Because of the virus, only the bride, groom and witnesses were allowed in the room. As the official CTO of my family, I suggested that we set up a Zoom so that our relatives and friends could join us. I present to you the first Zoom Wedding.

We had more than 45 people from France, CIV, Netherlands, SA, Calgary etc. I muted everyone during the ceremony and recorded everything using zoom. People cried during the vows, at the end unmuted them and all at the same time they applauded and congratulated the newlyweds.
