Ghanaian Actress, social media influencer and philanthropist Efia Odo tell the government the bitter truth about the distribution of food in Ghana.

The government has really done a lot and thanks to their effort at least people get food to eat and this is one thing they will never forget especially during these hard times.

The decision of the government to distribute food to the needy almost everywhere in the country is somehow also dangerous to people’s health.

Looking at videos going viral, we can see it’s more dangerous and can easily lead to people getting infected easily with the deadly virus.

Social distancing is not working because without a doubt when the food is been shared if you don’t rush for it you will be left out of won’t get some for your family

This is causing people to even forget about their health and the risk they are exposing themselves to due to the fact that they really need food to survive since they can’t provide for themselves they have no choice but to expose themselves to the risk involved.

Now, Efia Odo’s message to the government is a key measure the government should consider else Ghana will continue recording more cases due to how food is being distributed.

Here is what she said and I paraphrase, she suggested that, instead of government providing food, it should consider sending money to people in order to reduce the spread of the deadly virus.

“I think the Ghanaian people are going to need more than what they are getting. The food is great and it is great that they are going to distribute food, but how can we observe social distance when the food distribution is leading to overcrowding?

She said

“I feel like government or whoever is in charge of food distribution should start providing financing support to people because people need money and money moves fast. I think that would probably bring a lot of relief to the needy,”

She added

Below is a Youtube video of her talking about the issue.
